Keiser University’s Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice presents the major components of the American criminal justice system. It includes criminal behavior patterns, law enforcement organizations, juvenile systems, legal principles and doctrines and fundamentals of criminal investigations. Courses utilize hands-on activities.

The degree of Doctor of Criminal Justice degree is designed to produce students of crime and justice who possess: (1) a thorough understanding of criminal justice issues, (2) the intellectual and methodological skills necessary for the continuing process of discovery and understanding of crime- and justice-related issues, (3) the capacity for integrative and analytical thinking, (4) competency at transmitting knowledge, (5) problem-solving skills, and (6) effectively lead and manage criminal justice organizations. The DCJ program will produce students capable of making contributions to the criminal justice discipline in the academic and applied components of the discipline. Keiser University’s Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies with a Law Office Management concentration prepares students for traditional paralegal positions and law office manager positions. As law office managers, graduates help oversee the day-to-day operations and management of a law firm. Students take the majority of their courses from the Legal Studies curriculum and five courses from the Business and Accounting departments, covering topics such as accounting principles and employee relations.

Keiser University’s Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice and Criminology provides a thorough overview of criminal justice and criminological theory. Coursework for the PhD in Criminal Justice and Criminology includes how to evaluate an agency’s ability to meet community safety needs, analyze deficiencies in criminology services, and assess contemporary criminal justice systems and their policies and practices.
