The Online Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies program’s courses cover torts and remedies, legal research and writing, ethics, civil litigation, estate planning, legal software, and business, family, and criminal law. In the Paralegal Studies associate’s degree capstone course, you’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a legal setting such as a law firm, real estate company, bank, or federal government agency. In this setting, you’ll work under the supervision of a licensed attorney to perform tasks like preparing legal documents or interviewing clients and witnesses in preparation for real cases.

The online Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program gives you an opportunity to study the functions of the criminal justice system and explore various perspectives on the causes of crime—all in a supportive, engaging environment. In the online criminal justice courses, you’ll examine the response by police, courts, and corrections, crime and violence, as well important topics related to professional ethics, juvenile delinquency, and race, class, and gender in the criminal justice system.
The Master of Science in Criminal Justice program dives into the historical and contemporary criminal justice system. It examines relationships among law enforcement, the courts, and corrections. Prerequisites for the graduate criminal justice program are limited so that qualified students with bachelor's degrees in related fields like criminology, psychology, business or public administration, anthropology, political science, sociology, or related social sciences may enroll, along with students who have undergraduate degrees in criminal justice.
