The Technical College of the Lowcountry is the region’s primary provider of post-secondary education and workforce training. The public, two-year, multi-campus community college serves approximately 5,000 students annually. The college offers a variety of curricular programs including university transfer options, career and continuing education, online learning, and dual enrollment for area high school students.
Certificate: TCL’s Criminal Justice & Law Certificate program allows you to experience both before deciding. The 18-credit-hour program can be completed in as little as one full-time semester. On the legal side, courses include business law, ethics and criminal law. On the order side, courses include an introduction to criminal justice, the judicial process and correctional systems.
Associate Degree: The Criminal Justice (CRJ) Associate Degree program provides a comprehensive review of the entire criminal justice system including the court system, law enforcement and corrections. TCL’s well-rounded curriculum includes electives in specialty areas such as forensics, juvenile law, and criminalistics.
