Take the First Step Toward Your Criminal Justice Career Now!
Since South College was founded in 1882, we have focused on serving students who want hands-on, career-driven education that will have a meaningful impact on their lives and livelihoods.
More than a century ago, fulfilling that mission meant supplying on-campus offices so students could conduct business in the mercantile and banking industries while getting an education.
Today, it means offering accelerated, hybrid, transfer, and distance learning programs. It means small class sizes, labs, and campuses that are convenient to large numbers of students. Most of all, it means experienced professors who provide real world examples and lead in-depth discussions.
The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program at South College is designed for students who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in the criminal justice field, including private security, private investigations, parole and probation enforcement, corrections, and crime analysis. Students completing this program may also have the goal to apply for admission into professional criminal justice training programs such as federal, state, and local law enforcement academies.
Thanks to South College’s small class sizes, faculty members are able to give students more attention and integrate techniques for students of varying learning style. Instructors focus on real-world applications of concepts covered in the classroom. During their criminal justice internships, students have the chance to practice these skills under the supervision of experienced professionals.
South College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award degrees at the doctorate, educational specialist, master’s, baccalaureate, and associate levels.
